On the road.
Today, the most important journey of my life begins.
I am sitting in a restaurant at the train station. An ordinary one—old tables, cheap chairs, a service counter, and refrigerators, each different, as if added without any plan. Burgers, chicken nuggets, cola.
We are used to higher comfort. Sometimes we would call this place a dive, even if that might be an exaggeration.
It is the reality in which I lived my childhood.
A reality I like.
Thoughts begin—how I see it now, and how I might see it from another perspective.
What if there were a war, and I found this place—music, warmth, food, calm…
What a path humanity must have taken, from a meadow to this kind of luxury…
Luxury. A change in perspective turns a dive into luxury.
We humans are sometimes unpredictable. It is enough to change the angle of view, and we are content—sometimes even more than we expect.
Is this not a simple path to a happy life?
Is this not an answer to how to improve our relationships, our mood, our life…
